Air Conditioning Low Side Service Port from an old Mazda

PostTue Oct 02, 2012 7:17 am

Long story short, in what can best be described as an inelegant attempt to recharge the aircon on my 1993 MPV, I screwed up the low side fill port enough that I can no longer get refrigerant into the system...

The good news is that the port is actually threaded onto the pipe, so you could probably spin one off of just about any old mazda (or possibly any old Japanese car). Bad news is I don't have any good pick-a-part's close by, so I haven't been able to source one locally.

So: Does anyone have an old-ish japanese car with broken air conditioning, and/or can anyone keep an eye out at their local pick'n'pull for a screw-off-able low side service port?

Alternatively, is there a replacement for such a thing?

Get me a picture, and better yet cross reference the PN so I know what else I could pull it off, and I'll make a junkyard run this weekend.
