Can someone ship a motorcycle for me?

PostWed Apr 18, 2012 10:18 am

The Thrustmaster is a 1976 Honda CB550F that has made its rounds on the 'Verse before. Now that I'm in sunny California, where I don't have to worry about whatever the hell POR-15 is, I'd like to get my bike here as well. It's in central MA and I'm looking to get it shipped to SoCal, with a budget of around 600 bucks. I'd like it here by the beginning or middle of May, my schedule's flexible.

If you know of a dude with a truck, or other such hooptie-like conveyance, let me know. Reputable companies too!

Here are the most recent shots of it:

Factory Five is based out of Boston and they use a company called Stewart Transportation to ship their full kits. IIRC, they run around $700-$1000 for trucking a car across country. (They've got a good reputation and long relationship with FFR, and I know they do MA to CA.)

I just called them and they told me to go on t3h Gogglez. Also, I've never heard anyone pronounce it "motor-sickle" before.

If you have the ability to crate it you could use most any freight service. I know FedEx doesn't mind doing freight for individuals. Some of the UPS stores or U-Ship-It type places might offer crating services. Not sure on cost though.

Are you opposed to having someone ride it to you?
