So I've got this friend who has a 2005 Acura TL - seems the halogen headlight has gone teets up and he needs a new one. I assume that the entire headlight assembly would need to be replaced, rather than a simple bulb like the good old days. Any insight into that? If so, should it be a pretty simple install? He was quoted $250 + labor to replace.

Of course the bulbs are replaceable. If it's just halogen, they're just 9005 high beam/9006 low beam bulbs. If it has HID lamps, the bulbs are D2S and are a little more costly. I don't know for sure, but I think the halogen bulbs are possible to reach without any disassembly. The HID bulbs are definitely harder to get to. Here's a link:

The best is the Outlook/Acadia/Enclave/Traverse where you have to remove the bumper cover to replace a light bulb...
