I'm not sure it beats the ultimate truck-rod, but this just sold on ebay.de:

I like to cruise the "other makes" category. It's not often I find a car I didn't know about before. Here's one such instance...

Too lazy to re-host an image of it, but all you need to know is it's a 1976 BMW 2002 Baur Targa

Also I just realized that this seller is 10 minutes down the road from me. Hmmm...

I am almost (almost) tempted to abandon my low-priority search for a truck in favor of this "titled as a 1964 Oldsmobile" thing of wonder:

Maybe if it had doors....

Pretty sure I saw this in a Ralphs parking lot in Newport Beach when I lived down there.

But what would you do with 7 extra cylinders Mr. Harrell?

Alff: But that makes it almost too easy. Kind of like searching pro street. I'm still glad I did.

Unless that 390 is the original engine from its Cavalcade of Customs heyday, I'd be tempted keep the cylinder count but swap it for a Y-block. Certainly the newer seats, gauges, stereo, and steering wheel would have to go anyway.
