What are you listening to right now?

Miscellaneous (car related) stuff and BSing. Craigslist/eBay finds, stuff from Hooniverse or elsewhere in the automoblogosphere, youtube or whatever.

Aaah! Make it stop! Why am I listening to this?!? UUuuugh...

When studio musicians get together to make an album you get prog rock. This is not prog rock. It sounds like late King Crimson, which is probably why I'm listening to it, but it's TERRIBLE!

It's the guy from King Crimson that wasn't Robert Fripp, and the guy from Missing Persons who was married to Dale Bozzio, and the guy who played guitar for (frankly, everybody, including...) Billy Idol.

It's like if the charismatic front man got drunk or was in the middle of a blow job and the band had to hold the stage until he showed up; only there's no front man!!! It just goes on and on and why can't I stop listening to it? It's taken me 15 minutes to write this and I've only fast forwarded over about 10 minutes of it.

One of our most impressive local talents, Kelly Hunt. This live recording has pretty lousy sound quality, but it illustrates that her voice and playing stands up well without overdubs, autotuning or retakes.

This actually works, and not just as a novelty.
